The battery of an electric bike is safely concealed within waterproof casing. When it comes to bad weather treat your e-Bike like a normal bike.
Do I need a license to ride an electric bike on the road?
No not at all. Treat it the same as a regular bike. You will only ever need a license if you exceed the specified specification of EU law.
How long does it take to recharge the battery?
A 400Wh pack will take about 3.5 hours to recharge 100% from flat. The battery will actually charge approximately 80% in about 1.5 hours.
Who can buy an electric bike?
Anyone in the UK who is 14 or over can purchase an e-Bike.
How can I clean my bike?
Please remove the battery and all electric components before cleaning. We recommend using a damp cloth. Please do not attempt to use a power hose on your e-Bike.
How fast do electric scooters go?
Following UK regulations the majority of scooters are designed to have a max speed of 15.5 MPH.
How to charge electric scooters?
You are provided with a home charging kit with your purchase. It can take anywhere from 4-10 hours to achieve a fully charged battery.
Is there a weight limit for electric scooters?
Electric scooters vary on maximum load. Please read your safety manual/instructions provided.
Can my electric scooter be used in the rain?
Please refer to your scooter IP rating e.g IP65. You can find this in the owners manual. The durability of the scooter in bad weather will depend on the manufacturer. The instructors manual will normally give you advice about whether or not you should use your scooter in the rain.
